Senior Research Manager

We are seeking a Senior Research Manager who will lead the management of CTC's research projects in collaboration with CTC leadership and Project Principal Investigators. This person will be an essential project member, contributing to the successful development and execution of our projects in line with CTC's mission and in support of CTC's organizational milestones. This work will take place in an early-stage, dynamic and ever-evolving environment, so the Senior Research Manager must be able to be flexible in their approach and implementations. Core Duties: o Collaborate with the principal investigator to design a research approach of a project and/or integrate results of the entire project. o Assist principal investigators with designing experiments constituting a phase of a research project for which precedents are few; conduct experiments which may involve coordinating a complex experimental protocol. o Independently identify/modify standard procedures based on judgment concerning the general goals of a project; select approaches in developing, testing, and evaluating new methods. o Lead or participate in multidisciplinary teams (in academia, across different faculties or schools, and in industry, across different functions of the business). o Formally supervise and train new staff or students, including hiring, performance management, and related duties, in addition to instruction on techniques and consultation on project work o Present ongoing work and findings to colleagues at academic conferences. o Complete project-related administrative and budgetary responsibilities of a limited scope as needed. -Other duties may also be assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience: Graduate degree in an applicable social science related field and five years of applicable experience, or combination of education and relevant experience in an applicable social science. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: o Expert level knowledge and skills in field of science related to research project. o General computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs. o Strong analytical skills and excellent judgment. o Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance. o Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately. o Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. o Ability to work with human study participants. o Supervisory skills. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
