Web Designer

Our client is currently seeking a Web Designer This designer / project manager position is an active member of a communications and marketing team that creates awareness, encourages engagement, increases enrollments, and cements loyalty with potential and current students across the entire portfolio of graduate and professional courses and programs.
This team, and this position in particular, also supports programs and events for faculty and students on campus.
This position will support the Front-end Design Specialist in managing projects that may require web design, graphic design, and social media ad and email template design.
The person in this role will be responsible for managing campaigns and projects from start to finish with tasks that will include communicating with stakeholders, documenting results, and quality assurance.
Core
Responsibilities:
Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns.
Work closely with marketing managers to produce customized materials for initiatives.
Design and create html email templates, create graphics and design layouts for the website, mini-sites, landing pages and social media (gifs, icons, banner ads), print and other items as needed.
Modify photo and art files and perform color corrections, while ensuring adherence to established branding guidelines.
Assist in tracking online efforts and prepare reports to monitor customer behavior.
Prepare daily/weekly reporting that provides visual representations of trended results vs.
forecast and historical data, and provide insight.
Proof and test online promotions before deployment.
Track and manage marketing projects to ensure team is meeting deadlines, especially for efforts supporting campus-facing programs and events Regularly report on status of marketing and communications projects Provide additional marketing support to all members of the marketing and communications team as needed.
Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education &
Experience:
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong design and usability skills.
Project management skills.
Advanced knowledge of modern design concepts and solutions and usability best practices for all web devices.
Proficiency with browser and device differences and idiosyncrasies.
Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
Good working knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript libraries.
Knowledge of user profiling, usability testing, and quality assurance practices.
Knowledge of web analytics tools and related analyses and reporting.
