The Stanford Prevention Research Center (SPRC) is seeking aDigital Community & Social Media Specialist to support the WELL for Lifeinitiative. WELL for Life seeks to build the scientific evidence base about thefactors that impact wellbeing. This isan ambitious and dynamic project with participant recruitment goals of 10,000individuals at each of the sites which currently include the San Francisco BayArea, Taiwan, China and Singapore. WELLfor Life is using observational, intervention and biometric research approachesto establish how best to promote, enhance and maintain wellbeing forindividuals and communities.
The successful candidate will perform work to build,cultivate, advocate for, respond to, monitor, and grow a digital community onbehalf of, and while representing, the WELL for Life study program, workingunder minimal supervision. The Digital Community and Social Media Specialistwill develop a high-visibility, high-profile social media program to raiseawareness about the WELL for Life initiative with an emphasis on recruiting10,000 participants from the San Francisco Bay Area. The position requiresstrong analytic abilities to derive insights from the real-time social datastream to share with the WELL research team; the ability to liaise, present to,and advise the WELL leadership team; and the ability to serve as a resource inthis space for the WELL team.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic and agreat team player, but able to work independently. The successful candidate will be competent ina number of relevant programs such as Finalcut Pro, Adobe Illustrator,Audacity, Hootsuite Social Media Management, AEM and MailChimp. Additional experience with research relatedprograms such as RedCap and Nvivo would be desirable.
Duties include:
Builddigital community thorough social media channels, blogs, and the web. This should include building acommunity-focused, program-centric plan to grow our on-line registry throughorganic and paid outreach.
Grow andengage user base.
Managesocial listening efforts and report back to management.
Providecustomer service to constituents across digital channels; representorganization to constituents, campus, media.
Iterative,data-driven, on-brand, on-voice digital content development used to engageconstituents and grow channels. Curate digital content.
Lead newexperiments in the social space: newchannels, new content series, new technologies, new ways to leverageuser-generated content, new ways to engage participants.
Compiledata, analyze and report on social media use.
Act asinternal advocate for digital community efforts, building support for socialinitiatives among internal stakeholders and driving digital bestpractices. Partner with internalstakeholders such as program teams, IT, and campus partners to achieve programgoals and ensure coordination.
Contributeto overall development and refinement of digital community strategy, andinnovative social initiatives.
Maysupervise interns, entry-level staff, and volunteers.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
