Stanford University's Center for International Security andCooperation (CISAC) seeks a talented individual to work in one of the nation'sleading interdisciplinary, university-based research and training centersaddressing critical international security issues. The Center draws on scholarsfrom around the world and from a range of disciplines, integrating political,regional, and scientific expertise to develop policy-oriented solutions to themost vexing global challenges.
Reporting to the Associate Director for Administration andFinance, the qualified candidate will manage the administrative aspects of the Center'sthree academic programs: the visiting student researcher and postdoctoral fellowshipprogram, the undergraduate honors program, and the undergraduate researchassistantship program. The candidate is responsible for complete administrativeoversight of the curricular, administrative, HR, and financial components of theseprograms. The candidate, in partnership with Center leadership, plays a leadrole in the development, implementation, evaluation, and stewardship of CISACacademic programs. The candidate evaluates programs on an ongoing basis,develops and implements improvements to any process-oriented or financialissues, and documents findings for analysis and planning purposes.
The candidate researches and analyzes initiatives andactivities for potential new alumni, graduate student, undergraduate, and othereducation programs and executes those new activities.

Administer and support programs orfunctions under general supervision. Manage administrative aspects of academicprograms, including fellowship selection and appointment processes and large-scaleevents, such as annual orientation, honors college in Washington, D.C., andhonors graduation.
Independently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program. Act as key contact.
Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the program or function.
Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for program or function.
Represent the program or function within the department, unit or school. May also represent the program or function to external constituencies.
Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include communications, events, training, and/or conferences. May participate in development of budgets or oversee budgets and process, monitor and approve expenditures.
May direct staff to perform various tasks and assignments. May also supervise staff.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and three years ofrelevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience. Advanced degree and administrative experiencein higher education preferred.

Proven program management experience and the ability to both see the big picture and carefully execute related details.
Demonstrated event management skills, with the ability to manage on-site and remote events.
High energy and independent initiative.
Familiarity with and interest in international security and cooperation issues.
Certifications and Licenses:
Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
Occasionally use a telephone.
Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
