ICU nurses possess the skills needed to manage the care of adult patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions. ICU nurses have the ability to perform all nursing duties in accordance with the state nurse practice act while adhering to all facility policies and procedures. RNs provide effective communication to patient/family, team members, and other healthcare professionals for all critical care patients.
