Summary:
As a Senior HR Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
You will ensure that the company operates in a legally and ethically sound manner, while fostering a healthy and productive work environment.
This role requires a strong understanding of employment laws, compliance standards, and excellent communication skills to handle employee-related issues effectively.
Compliance Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs in alignment with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory changes and communicate the impact on the organization.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and develop strategies for remediation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Employee Relations:
Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, offering guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
Investigate and resolve employee complaints, concerns, and allegations of policy violations in a fair and consistent manner.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and other applicable regulations.
Policy Development and Documentation:
Collaborate with HR related departments, legal and other cross-functional teams to develop, review, and update company policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
Collaborate with Headquarters to ensure company policies are globalized and localized properly to meet local compliance requirements Communicate policy changes effectively to employees and ensure understanding and compliance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to compliance and employee relations activities.
Prepare reports and presentations on compliance and employee relations metrics, trends, and recommendations.
Training and Education:
Develop and conduct training programs on compliance topics, including anti-harassment, anti-discrimination, workplace safety, managing within compliance and other relevant subjects.
Provide guidance, toolkits and support to HRBPs and people managers on effectively addressing employee-related issues.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field (a master's degree is a plus).
Proven experience of 10 years as a Compliance Manager, Employee Relations Manager, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
Experience in conducting investigations, conflict resolution, and managing employee relations issues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely, especially in a cross cultural environment.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and maintain confidentiality.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in HR (e.
g.
, PHR, SPHR) or compliance-related fields (e.
g.
, CCEP) is highly desirable.
Bilingual in Mandarin and English is highly preferred.
Location State(s)California, New YorkThe base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $108,000 to $198,000 per year.
Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
